This is the next part in the Trixie mini arc. Expect lots more Trixie (Yay, Trixie).

Most of this arc is based on a mixture of show canon and my own head canon. In particular, the idea that Trixie is a jerk because of "something that happened in her past", rather than "Just because".

She's perfectly capable of being nice, and of caring for ponies other than herself, but her stubbornness and pride often get in the way and she reverts back to "Jerk Trixie" as a defensive measure.

My head canon says that Twilight and Trixie are very much alike. In that they have a deep seated sense of insecurity. Twilight doubts her own self worth, and so feels the need to prove to herself that she's worth by studying and doing things that she considers worth while. In contrast, Trixie's sense of insecurity pushes her to prove herself to others. Which she does by trying to outdo them.

This arc explores why Trixie ended up so different from Twilight.

THIS IS NOT A SHIPPING ARC.

Yes, there is a shipping joke at the end, but I'm not going to ship Trixie and Twilight together.
