In case the comic isn't clear, this page covers the letter that Twilight said that she was going to write to Celestia at the end of page 120. The one with the Forbidden Unicorn Swears in it.

Throughout my comic I've had a lot of people commenting on why Celestia was acting the way that she was, and one of the main reasons is that she was totally unaware of how much Twilight was suffering. None of Twilight's letters mentioned anything about how hard she was finding it. Twilight was deliberately being upbeat because she was afraid of disappointing Celestia, and she was making out that everything was OK when in fact she was hurting inside.

As both the show and the comic make clear, Celestia doesn't keep a constant watch over Twilight. She is a busy monarch who spends most of her days locked away in official business, and she usually only knows what is happening with Twilight if Twilight herself writes to her. In over 100 episodes there have only been 1 or 2 instances when Celestia has had news of Twilight from anypony other that Twilight herself.

On this page, Twilight is finally telling Celestia how things really are.

If you look at the reflection in Celestia's eyes it shows what she is reading about. The first reflection is Twilight crying on the first few pages, the second reflection is the incident with the bear and the outhouse, the last reflection is about Pinkie. It seems to have scared the Princess quite a bit. Luna s not amused.
