My first real attempt at a proper Screen Tone Comic. It's harder than it looks, given that the colors are so simple.

The Wings took Forever to get right.

I originally titled this "Luna's Torment", but I've already used that one, so I changed it right before I uploaded it.

This is an Unofficial sequel to my earlier comic "A Mother's Love" perfectblue97.deviantart.com/a…. It was inspired by a number of different things. Season 2 episode Luna Eclipsed was a big influence, as was the second arc of the IDW Comic series. Which showed more Luna than the entire animated series.

It was also inspired by various Symphonic Metal tracks that I've been listening to. Our Destiny by Epica, and Empty Hollow by Rage spring to mind.

Outside Luna is strong and capable pony. She is the ruler of the night, with all of the mystique that come with it. Yet, inside, she is filled with a hidden sadness. She protects the dreams of other ponies, but is herself haunted by nightmares that fill her with shame and doubt.

The Canon for this would be her due to her fall into the shadows as Nighmare Moon. Though I like the Fanon answer that there is further darkness hidden inside her from something not shown in the series or the comics perfectblue97.deviantart.com/a….

Luna's pose from Frame 1 is based on Celestia by Mihaaaa (mihaaaa.deviantart.com/art/Cel…. Everything else is scratch drawn. The Screen Tone was modified from the Screen Tone that comes with Yishan Studio's The Complete Shoujo Art Kit.

I used brushes from Obsidian Dawn for Luna's Mane.
